| Day 4: Aug 15th |

Walked through the beautiful Big Meadows and Floyd Wilson Meadows. Saw Gannett

| Day 5: Aug 16th |
|
We left camp at 7am up the moraine and onto the Gooseneck Glacier. The route
led over a snow bridge up a gully and then across an exposed ridge to the
summit. With darkening clouds lowering on us, we fled back down the mountain
getting rained on back in the moraine. The eight hour round trip brought us
back to our tents where we hid out of the rain.

| Day 6: Aug 17th |
|
Most of the day was spent resting in our tents avoiding the continuing rain.
Late in the afternoon it cleared off and we began a flury of drying clothes.
We were able to sit around and enjoy a celebratory dinner together.

| Day 7: Aug 18th |
|
Left basecamp in a drizzle and after seeing two moose, the rain started pouring
down on us. We kept walking to keep warm and the sun came out as we started
the switchbacks past Honeymoon Lake. We camped at Star Lake with intermittent
rains.

| Day 8: Aug 19th |
|
Woke up to a beautiful day. Skies cleared and let us dry out. A stop at
Double Lake produced five trout for dinner. We hiked up and over Arrow Pass,
this time with clear views, and camped in the meadows on the other side.
The trout was excellent and afterwards we watched the full moon rise over the
pass.
